I've been very unproductive all week. So many things I feel I have to get done, and yet I don't get anything done at all. I already have more custom orders, can you believe it?
Tonight, I asked myself what I would do if I could make whatever I wanted, and this brooch was my choice. I think I am finally ready to start caging stones in my own style and this caging style is the direction I wish I had more time to explore.
I love the pin backs I'm doing now. They look and operate more like a real piece of jewelry. Did I just say that? As if wire is not 'real jewelry'? Forgive me, you know what I mean I hope!

Stone Cross
Here is my first attempt at a more elaborate cross. It's not quite what I had envisioned but I have no time to rework it. I told my client she had no obligation to buy it. It was a rogue design ( not at all what we had discussed), but she decided she wanted it anyway.
I don't even have time to do all the designs in my head. Picture me with my head in my hands:))
I've been listening to this gospel song all week. I first heard it on my daughter's CD of Florence and the Machine. Here is a link to the original by Candi Staton. I know my brother will love it if he hasn't heard it already. Maybe I can pay him back for all the music has turned me unto in my life. Go listen JT!

Jasper Cross Bangle
A custom order bangle for a coworker. She also asked me to make a cross necklace if I could and I'm fiddling around with cross designs this weekend.
I don't have much to say on the Blog lately. I did my taxes this week, and I had a contractor come in to replace my living room windows that are very very old. My daughter is having a house guest this coming on Monday.
I am either worrying and fretting about stupid stuff or I have nothing going on in my mind at all:) See? Noone is missing out on anything:)
I am progressing with my soldering skills, like the crosses shown here. I did get more work done on the bangle tutorial also.
This will also be the second month in a row that I am making some money off this wire stuff:)
If I really do make a cross necklace I'll post that soon.

Fan Earrings
I've recently improved my soldering skills enough to attempt some designs with soldered frames. I made these fan earrings while watching CNN footage of the quake in Japan.
In light of so many things going on in the world this week, I don't feel much like talking about myself.

Rings
The problem with ring making is that you can't know who to size the ring for. I would love to put some rings in my shop but it's very limiting if I make them all sized for me.
I'm not a fan of adjustable rings but what else can I do?
Anyways, having tons of fun as you can see:)

Marquise Ring 2
I am having such a good weekend! The rings only take an afternoon to make, which leaves me time to clean my house and run my errands:)
This ring is made from an antler button,
Here is what they look like when worn:
And here is the back. I know you want to see that, but you're too polite to ask:) rofl
