Coiled Bakelite Bangle

It has been a frustrating week in wire with many projects and ideas hitting frustrating road blocks due to my inability to problem solve my design ideas. When this bangle was finally completed I laughed and dance around the living room for a good 3 minutes. The design was actually a compromise with the wire from my original idea but I love it, and the foundation of the design is an excellent jumping off point for more development.

  1. It IS a wonderful bangle, and I'm glad you celebrated it! You perfectly described the frustrations I'm experiencing this week as well... I have NEVER wasted so much copper in one day as I did Monday.

  2. Beautiful!
I never thought that coral would complement copper this beautifully. And your coils are just perfect (not to speak of the coiled beads). Wonderful clean and smooth work. It's gorgeous.

Angie, I was so discouraged when I began work on this bangle it was very half hearted and with out hope. I hope your time of trials end soon:))

  6. Audrey, Sometimes two heads are better than one:) Sometimes the designer must bend, instead of the wire:)

  8. Thank you Valentine. These bangles are terrific for lampwork beads because of the large hole size and it's a nice way to show case a special bead.
