Coiled Silver Ring

I did not know that I was going to write another blog post within 4 hours of my earlier post.

I wandered off to finish a ring I began a week ago.

Oh my goodness friends!! I am so excited about this ring! I wanted to give myself a perfectly wrapped ring done with excellent skill. I don't feed my perfectionism every day (you might think I do), but I felt a need to feed that desire for good workmanship so I began this coiled ring that would also celebrate silver.

The pearl looks awesome  but I do wish I had a better quality stone to set in the center.

I'm keeping this one bright, and for the first time I'm thinking a professional photographer would be a good idea.

I hate to show my chubby hands, but this ring deserves for me to set aside my vanity:)

  1. Oh boy! Another treat for the sore eyes. I agree...this should be kept shiny. It has a feeling of purity, peace. It should be left as is. :-) And I love the pearl too.

  3. This is so sublime! The clean, bright silver is a gorgeous compliment to the silvery gray pearl. I think it is a good choice. The scale of this is perfect. Thank you for modeling it with the artist's own lovely hand- it really brings to light the perfection of the ring. Your work always amazes me!

  6. Mary, Decided to rewrite my post as I used the word beautiful 4 times in one paragraph...I am going to use more adjectives. The ring is incredible. Your work never ceases to amaze me. The shiney silver with the subtle pearl create the perfect combination. Your wire work is perfection. I am so excited for you and proud of you!
Seeing your hands warmed my heart as they are the tools that brought this beauty to life.
    Celebrate!!

  10. Mary, I adore that ring!!! It's one of my favorites so far, which is saying a lot because I drool over all the things you make. :)

Also... did you hold it upright with a little piece of tape? That's clever -- I'll have to try that.

  11. It's so perfectly made for your finger!! I love that.....must go get some water because I'm still drooling about the copper/labradorite one. Don't even have drool left for this one :)

  12. Sarah, it's known as teacher's tack. It's a silly putty like substance that you can reuse over and over again

    Kim lol!!
